Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Employee of the Month" Squidward Production Cel Setup with Layout Drawing Group of 2 (Nickelodeon, 1999). It's the ultimate showdown between the workers at the Krusty Krab as SpongeBob and Squidward battle for Employee of the Month in this delightfully frantic season 1 episode. While normally tasked with taking orders, this is the second episode to show Squidward actually cooking. Offered in this lot is an original hand-painted production cel setup of Squidward flipping Krabbie Patties. The nicely centered image measures 7.5" x 7" on a 12 field 4-cel setup that bears a Nickelodeon seal in the lower right. The setup from around the 8:36 mark is presented over a color copy of the matching background. As an added bonus, the setup comes with the original colored pencil and graphite layout drawing from this scene. Only the first season of SpongeBob used cels in the animation process, so original production cels from this hit series are very rare.
