Description

Pinocchio Stromboli Animation Drawing Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1940). "The one and only Pinocchio!" Fan favorite villain Stromboli proudly introduces Pinocchio to the audience in this outstanding pair of 16 field 5-peghole animation drawings from the unforgettable 1940 feature film. These enormous animation drawings are rendered in graphite with color pencil and can be found at about the 36:26 mark as Stromboli gives the puppet a grand entrance, preparing the crowd for what he hopes will be a once in a lifetime performance. The over-the-top movements in these scenes were something Stromboli's supervising animator Vladimir Tytla (1904 - 1968) would act out while animating, making these drawings even more special. Stromboli measures roughly 6'' x 5.5'' and an impressive 7.25'' x 11.25'' with the latter drawing spanning nearly the whole page! The pages are noted as 76 and 87 in the lower right corner with a studio production stamp marking the drawings for Production 2003, Sequence 4.2, and Scene 8. These pieces are in Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, and faint smudging.
