Description

The Robber Kitten Ambrose and Dirty Bill Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1935). "My name is Butch! I'm a robber too." The wannabe robber Ambrose runs away from home to pursue a life of crime but gets more than he bargained for when he runs into a real wanted criminal! The thief, Dirty Bill, is more pleased than annoyed when they first meet, aggressively shaking the young cat's hand. You can find the 12 field 2-peghole drawing with this handshake at about 3:32 in the David Hand-directed short, Ambrose halfway in the air with his toy guns attached to his belt. The pair measure approximately 8.25'' x 6'' and are rendered in graphite with color pencil, noted as 264A in the lower right corner. This fun drawing is in Very Good condition with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, and a faint smudge.
