Dale Messick Brenda Starr, Reporter Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-6-64 (Chicago Tribune, 1964). Brenda Starr is all dolled up for a night at the casino in this daily, featuring the glamorous titular reporter in all three panels, culminating in a striking close-up in the final frame. Rendered by pioneering female cartoonist Dale Messick in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21.5" x 6.5". Light overall toning, with light staining, spots of soiling, and corner/edge wear. The strip also includes a stat title paste-up in the left margin, which is toned, creased, and torn.
