Description
Fawcett Artist Ozzie and Babs #11 Cover Original Art and Production Stat Group of 3 (Fawcett, 1949). We're not sure how Ozzie managed to leave ski tracks on both sides of that tree, or whether Babs and Dip are impressed or terrified, but it's a sight that leaves plenty to the imagination! Ozzie and Babs, Fawcett's entry in the teen-humor craze, began in Wow Comics before graduating to its own 13-issue run. More slapstick than Archie and less wholesome than DC's Leave It to Binky, the series carved out its own snowy niche of high-school hijinks starring the accident-prone Ozzie Turner and flirtatious Babs Forester. The artwork is paired with the original production stat of the published cover. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an approximate image area of 8" x 10.5". There is an art paste-up of Babs and Dip, along with an additional paste-up for the sign and rabbit. The artwork exhibits light toning, smudging, marginal production notes, staining, creasing, whiteout corrections, and handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
