Donald's Garden Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1942). Featured in this lot is an expressive 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing from the Dick Lundy-directed short Donald's Garden released to theaters on 6/12/1942. Everyone's favorite duck is stuck trying to care for his prized watermelons, first struggling to get a bucket of water from his water pump and then forced to fight a very hungry gopher for his crops. This great full figure drawing, rendered in graphite with color pencil, can be found at about the 6:19 mark of the short as Donald determinedly covers one of the gophers tunnels and reaches for a shovel. He measures about 5.5'' x 2.5''. This fantastic vintage drawing is noted as 37C in the lower right corner and exhibits light age-related toning with minor edge and handling wear.Auction Info
