Description

Tugboat Mickey Goofy Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Gawrsh! Steam's low!" The fantastic trio of Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck respond to a distress call that they hear on the radio of their boat in this 1940 short Tugboat Mickey. Goofy runs to the boiler, where he discovers that he needs to load more fuel into the fire. Unfortunately, the door to the boiler will not cooperate with him, making it nearly impossible to add more fuel! This image of Goofy depicts him as he realizes he needs to add more coal to the boiler, and it can be found at about the 2:56 mark of the short. This drawing is full of personality, and it features a large image of Goofy measuring about 7" x 6.25". The drawing is created with graphite and colored pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper, and it is labeled in its lower right corner with C81. The condition of this fantastic drawing is Good, with some handling and edge wear, some minor creasing and smudging away from the image, and age-related toning.
