Description

7-Up Fresh-Up Freddy Studio Model Sheet Prints and Film Negative Group (Walt Disney, c. 1958). The Walt Disney Studios created Fresh-Up Freddy as an animated spokesperson for the soft drink 7-Up, the sponsor of the Zorro television series produced by Disney. The ad campaign was run by the Leo Burnett Agency, with animated spots done by the Disney Studios. Here's some rare model sheet material with this interesting character that will be remembered by some for a series of very colorful comic book ads from the late 1950s. Included is one small hand-colored print with three images, page size approximately 10.5" x 4.5"; a large taped-up master model sheet print measuring 32.25" x 20", plus two smaller prints measuring 10" x 6.75" (on photo print paper, with added hand-coloring) and 11" x 8.5". Finally, there's a film negative measuring 10.75" x 7.75" of the same sheet. Prints are in Good to Very Good condition; film negative is in Fine condition. From the Paul Carlson Archives.
