Description
Bernie Wrightson The Shadow over Innsmouth Concept Illustration Original Art (c. 1980s). A Deep One fills the page. Bulging eyes stare ahead, lips peel back to reveal jagged teeth, gills sag along the jaw. Bernie Wrightson created this design for an unmade late eighties film of H.P. Lovecraft's 1931 novella "The Shadow over Innsmouth", a cornerstone of the Cthulhu Mythos, planned for director Stuart Gordon. Ink on Bristol board with an image area of 8.75" x 10".
