Description

Ken Steacy Epic Illustrated #4 "Sleeping Dogs" Story Pages 4-5 Original Art (Marvel, 1980). The commander lashes out at a civilian observer on these two pages adapted from one of writer Harlan Ellison's "Earth-Kyba War" series of short stories. This story was later re-created in color by Steacy for Night and the Enemy, released in a limited edition from Graffiti Designs, and re-issued in the anthology by Dover Books in 2015. These pages are created as a double-page spread in ink, white paint, and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 20" x 13". Slight toning, tape adhesive along the top edge, text paste-ups, yellowing shading film, marginal notes, and light handling wear. Signed by Steacy in the bottom left margin. In Very Good condition.
