Westover took great delight in contrasting gorgeous women with goofy-looking men -- the very basis of his pioneering feature, Tillie the Toiler. This one exemplifies the classic approach to near-perfection. Ink and blue pencil over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 22.5" x 4.75".
