Description
Garfield and Friends "Airborne Odie" Santa Garfield Production Cel (Film Roman, 1992). "Ho, ho, ho, merry Christmas puppy!...Do you have a wish, pup?" Garfield dresses up as Santa and asks Odie what he wishes for as a way to jazz up his everyday routine of kicking Odie off the table. Meanwhile, Odie begins to think about what he really wishes for: to fly! This image of Garfield as Santa Claus (or perhaps, more fittingly, Santa Claws) comes from the beginning of the Garfield and Friends episode entitled "Airborne Odie," in which we hear the story of how Odie gets his wish to fly granted. This fantastic original, hand-painted 12 field production cel depicts a sleepy-eyed Santa Garfield measuring about 5" x 6.75", an image which can be found at about the 1:39 mark of the episode. The cel is marked in its lower right corner with G1, and it has been placed atop a white background for presentation. The piece is in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear and minor debris.From the Jim Davis Collection.
