Bob Murphy Happy Birthday, Chester Gould Dick Tracy Greeting Original Art (1979). Artist and super-collector Murphy channels the style of Tracy originator Chester Gould to near-perfection for this special-purpose greeting. Gould had retired in 1977 but remained involved as a story consultant on Tracy. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Pedigree notations on reverse. Image area, 10" x 12.5".
