Sidney Smith The Gumps Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-6-35 (Chicago Tribune/NY News Syndicate, 1935). Long before Forrest Gump, there was Andy Gump, linchpin of one of the definitive pioneering comic strips. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19.75" x 4.75". The strip is toned with staining throughout, graphite smudging, and pinholes in the corners and margins. Otherwise in Very Good condition.Auction Info
