Description
Gil Kane Hawk and the Dove #4 Near-Complete Issue Preliminary Original Art Group of 22 (DC, 1969). Gil Kane was at the top of his game when he took on the art for Hawk and the Dove! These rough layouts show what a keen eye he had for action and character interaction. His perspectives and page design was reminiscent of action TV show camera angles. The only pages not included in this set are the last two pages of the 24-page story. (And Page 24 was only a 1/2 page at that.) The layouts were created in pure graphite on paper with an image area of 10" x 15" each (except for the pages that shared space with ads). the paper is toned, and have previously been stapled along the left margin.
