This unpublished sample page for a proposed historical educational comic captures Civil War soldiers resting beneath a smoky sky, the glow of campfires revealing quiet moments of reflection amid looming conflict. Ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Truman. Light toning and light handling wear. In Excellent condition.Auctioned on behalf of longtime comics professional, Larry Shell, whose artist friends have donated this and other pieces to assist him in this time of need.
