Description

Rick Veitch and Alfredo Alcala Swamp Thing #62 Story Page 9 Original Art (DC, 1987). On the edge of forever, Metron's Mobius Chair flickers out near the Source Wall, leaving him marooned at the boundary where thought meets the void. Into this silence blooms Swamp Thing, coaxed into being by the chirping hum of a Mother Box that speaks of fate and the unseen paths ahead. This page from "Wavelength" marks Veitch's first issue as solo writer on Swamp Thing, stepping into the mythic current left by Alan Moore's legendary run, which would conclude just two issues later. Ink and white paint over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 16.75". Slight toning, discolored tape, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, smudging, tape on top edge, minor staining, minor corner creasing, and handling wear. Signed by Veitch on the back. In Very Good condition.
