Description
Donald's Golf Game Early/Preliminary Model Sheet (Walt Disney, 1938). The simplicity and charming nature of Disney animation of the 30's and 40's is greatly exemplified in this great early model sheet made for the Jack King-directed short Donald's Golf Game. Made in red colored pencil, this preliminary model sheet shows a full-figure Donald Duck (4") and one of his nephews (2.75") displaying the design that the characters are to have during the short. Additionally, the drawing has a turn-around of the nephew and Donald's head wearing the traditional golf tam-o'-shanter cap. The early model sheet is rendered in red colored pencil on a trimmed 12" x 10" animation paper sheet, presenting very light age-related toning and minor handling wear from production.
