The Mad Doctor Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933). "Pluto! Pluto!" Mickey has a terrifying nightmare that Pluto is captured by the Mad Doctor (also known as Dr. XXX). He rushes to save his pal, only to get himself trapped and nearly experimented on in the process. Understandably shaken, he calls for Pluto as soon as he wakes up. Pluto rushes to reassure the mouse, crashing into Mickey's bedroom with his entire doghouse! It's a moment that didn't make it into many theaters and is a fantastic example of the pair's friendship. This charming 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing can be found at about 6:22 in the short as Pluto hurriedly hops through Mickey's open window. It is rendered in graphite with beautiful highlights in color pencil, measuring approximately 9'' x 3.75''. The page is noted as 78 in the lower right corner. This sweet mouse and his beloved dog are in Very Good condition with light age-related toning and minor edge and handling wear.Auction Info
