Robotech: The New Generation / Genesis Climber Mospeada Scott aka Stick Bernard Production Cel with Production Background (Artmic/Tatsunoko, c. 1983-84). From part three, The New Generation, of the groundbreaking anime series Robotech, here is a fantastic original production cel featuring Scott Bernard, also known as Stick Bernard in the original Japanese series Genesis Climber Mospeada. U.S. based Harmony Gold produced the Robotech series as an adaption with edited content and revised dialogue pulled from three different mecha anime series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross in part one, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross in part two, and Genesis Climber Mospeada in part three, as they needed a minimum of 65 episodes for syndication despite the three original series being unrelated. Featured in his Cyclone armor, Scott measures a striking 6.75" x 6.5" from the waist up on the hand-painted 12 field cel which includes the production codes 335 and B-6 in the upper right. The cel is presented on a hand-painted gouache on board production background, possibly from another series, which has been trimmed to the approximate dimensions of the cel. The lot shows minimal handling wear from production use including some fading to the linework and some very minor spots of paint loss, overall Good to Very Good condition.
