Description

Disneyland Annual "Three Cheers for Casey Jr." Casey Jr., Big Bad Wolf, Morty, and Ferdie Story Illustration Page Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1976). Casey Jr. first appeared in the 1941 Disney feature film Dumbo, and he was even the inspiration for the Casey Jr. Circus Train at Disneyland! The cheerful-looking train stars in these story illustrations from the 1976 Disneyland Annual, in the story entitled "Three Cheers for Casey Jr." The illustrations are rendered with ink and marker on paper, which is affixed to two boards measuring 10.75" x 13.75" and 9.5" x 13". There are a total of 11 panels (including two that illustrate sound effects) featuring beloved Disney characters including the Big Bad Wolf, the Three Little Pigs, Morty and Ferdie, Pluto, and of course, Casey Jr. The pages are marked as being Page 52 and 54 from the annual. The text is handwritten, trimmed, and affixed to the pages. The two pieces are matted, with matboard apertures of 8" x 10.5" and overall mat sizes of 13.25" x 16". The over 45-year-old pieces are in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, as well as some age-related toning and some staining.
