Description

Irv Novick and Dick Giordano Batman #257 Penguin Story Page 6 Original Art (DC, 1974). Penguin basks in the success of his latest scheme -- kidnapping a child prince -- unaware that his plans are about to be foiled by his unassuming servant... who is really Talia al Ghul in disguise! Novick and Giordano were a Bronze Age Batman match made in heaven, and their impressive skills are on full display in this page from "Hail Emperor Penguin!" Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Light overall toning, with trimmed edges, a taped-on page number paste-up, adhesive-stained tape in the margins, a stripped-in text correction in Panel 4, whiteout corrections, production notes in blue, a few small stains, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
From the Irv Novick Family Collection.
