Description

Dave Cockrum The X-Men #104 Cover Re-Creation Illustration Original Art (2000). Giant-Size X-Men co-creator Dave Cockrum rendered dozens of covers featuring Marvel's mighty mutants, but few are as memorable as Issue #104-showcasing the first clash between the new X-Men and Magneto in a dynamic homage to Jack Kirby's classic cover to issue #1! The Master of Magnetism appears alongside Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine, all rendered in ink over blue pencil and graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 14.75". In addition to the main image, Cockrum has also recreated his iconic corner box art. Some smudging and whiteout. Personalized, signed, and dated by Cockrum in the lower right corner. Matted and glass-front framed to 14.5" x 19.5", and in Excellent condition.
