Description

Fred G. Cooper The American Magazine Illustration Inscribed Original Art (Crowell-Collier Publ., 1930s). Cooper, a founding member of the Society of Illustrators, contributed many such satirical cartoons as this one to the long-running American Magazine. The pure kinetic energy of this piece is astonishing. Inscribed to colleague John Belfi. Coated illustration board. Image area, 8" x 10". Age-toned, with handling wear and an extremely close upper trimming, the piece also contains numerous web-like surface cracks. Intact, however, and as such in Good condition.
