Wally Wood, Dave Cockrum, and Jack Abel Shattuck #W7A and #W7B Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (Armed Forces Diamond Sales, 1972). In 1972, Wallace Wood created Shattuck, a Western comic strip for military newspapers, employing such drawing talents as up-and-comer Dave Cockrum (X-Men) and veteran Jack Abel. This two-sheet episode, with layouts by Wood, show Shattuck and Laureen's arrival in Rendezvous, a kid tricked, a nekkid wanderer, and Shattuck making a big mistake! Ink and screentone over graphite and blue pencil on separate pieces of Bristol board, with a combined image area of approximately 17" x 23.5". Slight toning, stat logo paste-up, marginal pinholes, whiteout corrections, with light soiling/staining and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
