Description
Woodland Café Caterpillar Dancers Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1937). A cheerful caterpillar couple takes over the dance floor in this pair of 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings. This Wilfred Jackson-directed Silly Symphony gave viewers a look inside a classy nightclub filled with jazz musicians and dancers. This pair of drawings capture a pair of sweet caterpillar dancers, obviously in love with several of their arms tangled together. They are rendered in graphite with color pencil and can be found early in the short at about 1:56, lovingly gazing into each other's eyes. The full figure drawings measure about 6.5'' x 4'' and 7'' x 3.75'', numbered 45 and 12 in the lower right corner. The pages exhibit light age-related toning with minor edge and handling wear. The first page has a small wrinkle and tear, though not near the drawing. Very Good condition overall.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Silly Symphonies.
