Description

Jack Rickard Politically MAD Double Splash Pages 22-23 Original Art (Warner Books, 1982). A sprightly political spoof, depicting George Washington, Ben Franklin, and others, including a Spirit of '76 image. Rickard also caricatures MAD colleague Sergio Aragonés (lower quadrant). A signed accompanying page authenticates the piece as having come from the collection of the author, Lou Silverstone. Ink and wash over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10.5" x 13". Adhesive staining from missing paste-ups, tape abrasion in the top margin, tape along the back edges and front top right corner, text paste-ups, and light staining and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
