Description
"Yogi for Ranger" Yogi Bear Limited Edition Cel Signed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera #25/400 (Hanna-Barbera, 1991). That "smarter than the average bear" Yogi campaigns for the "office" of Park Ranger with the help of Boo Boo, Cindy Bear, Yakky Doodle Duck, and a couple of other animal pals, in this exceptionally nice hand-painted, low-number (25 out of 400), long-ago sold out limited edition cel. Yogi's "fathers," studio heads Bill Hanna (1910 - 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006) hand-signed the cel, which also includes a Hanna-Barbera seal sticker in the lower right. Yogi stands about 4.5" tall. This is a fun cel with lots of detail; we wonder who Ranger Smith is calling about this "problem?" All characters are painted on the cel except the squirrel and moose. The cel is matted with an aperture opening of 16" x 10.5", with an overall mat size of 22" x 17". A Hanna-Barbera Certificate of Authenticity is included. The mat has a very slight corner crunch, and is sold as-is. The cel condition is Fine with light handling.Auction Info
