Description

George Herriman - Krazy Kat Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 1936 (King Features Syndicate, 1936). Thanks to the "crime watch" patrolling of Ofissa Pup, a heavily disguised Ignatz Mouse still finds himself in the pokey by story's end. Krazy Kat does a walk-on cameo in panel tier three of this superb Sunday. Krazy Kat was one of the most inventive comic strips in American history -- George Herriman used language as poetry, and there was unparalleled visual innovation in each and every panel. This masterwork has an image area that measures 14.5" x 22", and the art is in Excellent condition.
