Description
Junior #12 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Fox Features Syndicate, 1948) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. Say hi to the sole highest-graded copy of one of the better "headlight" covers ever to appear. It's the work of Al Feldstein. Three of the eight covers in this series were set in front of the same wooden fence -- Fox knew not to mess with a winning formula! If you're not familiar with Junior, suffice it to say that he was basically a takeoff on Archie, but done in Fox Features' typically lurid manner. The interior art is by Feldstein as well. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $506. CGC census 10/06: 1 in 8.0, none higher. From the Crippen Collection.CGC Grader Notes:
