Description
Val Mayerik Legend of the Burning Sands CCG Jinn of Decay Illustration Original Artwork (1998). A spin-off of the Legend of the Five Rings Collectible Card Game, Legend of the Burning Sands was released in July of 1998 by Five Rings Publishing Group. A total of 4 expansion sets were released during its run through June of 1999. This CCG contained an Arabian setting, unlike the original CCG's East Asian setting. Offered in this lot is the original artwork done for a spell card from the first expansion set Shadow of the Tyrant: Jinn of Decay! Depicting a terrifying scene of the a man literally decaying away to nothing, this piece was done by artist Val Mayerik. Best known as co-creator the Marvel Comics character Howard the Duck, Mayerik has provided artwork for Legend of the Five Rings, as well as the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This piece is rendered in mixed media and measures 9.5" x 7" on a 11.125" x 8.625" board. There is light wear to the edges and corners, with an overall condition of Very Good.Auction Info
