Description
Magic: The Gathering Proposal Richard Garfield Wedding Invitation Booklet. Richard Garfield was the creator of one of the most popular trading card games in the world, Magic: The Gathering. Being the game's creator gave Garfield a few advantages, including the chance to create cards celebrating key moments of his life. In late 1993, Garfield decided to propose to his then-girlfriend Lily Wu with one of these cards. With artwork done by Quinton Hoover, Wu's favorite artist, Garfield created the celebration card Proposal which he included in his own deck while playing against Wu. Offered here is a wedding invitation booklet for the two's marriage, which features a photocopy of Proposal card affixed to the front of the booklet! This stunning piece of Magic: The Gathering history is an incredibly rare find. The invitation has light wear, with an overall condition of Excellent.Auction Info
