Vault of Horror #40 Gaines File pedigree (EC, 1954) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. This is the last issue of this title, and it experienced low distribution according to Overstreet. Of course, that's because EC's entire "New Trend" line was being shelved in view of the attacks on horror comics. This final issue has a Johnny Craig cover with interior art by Craig, Joe Orlando, Bernie Krigstein, and Graham Ingels. Note that while CGC has certified this book as a Gaines File Copy, no certificate accompanies this lot. Overstreet 2005 NM- 9.2 value = $535.
