John Madden Football - Wata 8.5 B+ Sealed [Cardboard, Early Production], Genesis Electronic Arts 1990 USA. It's a super (bowl) day at Heritage Auctions! There are only nine copies of this variant on Wata's March 2023 population report. Seasoned collectors know that very few examples of this title are known to exist in a sealed state, and we can't overstate the importance of this title. As the very first console release of a Madden video game, it kicked off the long-running football franchise, which has become a household name. The series' annual releases ensure that Madden stays relevant. Since it was released in a cardboard box rather than in Sega's familiar clamshell case, this game is tough to find in nice condition like this copy.
