Description
Society Dog Show Pluto and Show Judge Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1939). "He's a very fine dog, sir. And he's smart, too!" says Mickey as the stuffy judge looks down unfavorably at entry number 13, happy-go-lucky Pluto, in this superb set of matched animation drawings. This Bill Roberts-directed short was released to theaters on 2/3/39. In it, Pluto goes from Zero to Hero when a fire breaks out, and he rescues the prize Pekingese dog Fifi. This set of drawings are from the scene that can be found at the 4:20 mark in the short. Both are in graphite; Pluto's drawing has a green pencil shadow outline, with an image size of 5.75" x 4.5", numbered 32 in the lower right. The Judge drawing is in graphite with some red pencil highlights, and an image size of approximately 6" x 5", numbered 15 in the lower right, and a faint "Model Drawg." stamp in the upper right.
