Description

Society Dog Show Mickey Mouse and Pluto with Show Judge Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). When Mickey innocently enters Pluto in the big dog show, the pair are laughed out of the place... until the hotel catches fire and brave Pluto saves Fifi the Peke from the flames! This fan-favorite short was directed by Bill Roberts, and released to theaters on 2/3/39. Here's an original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing from the 7:39 mark in the short, as the judge gets ready to place a big "Public Hero No. 1" gold medal around Pluto's neck. As seen in the short, Pluto is still on roller skates, and Fifi is looking on admiringly. The art is in graphite with red and green pencil highlights; the combined image size is approximately 9.75" x 5.5", and the drawing is noted as 14 in the lower right corner. Good condition with handling and edge wear, with a few wrinkles in the paper near Mickey's head.
