Description

Two-Gun Mickey Mickey Mouse and Horse Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1934). When cowboy Mickey sees Minnie chased by Peg Leg Pete and his banditos, he hops on his horse and goes down the mountain side to her rescue, tumbling and falling! That's the situation in this incredible pair of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from this Ben Sharpsteen-directed cartoon, first shown in theaters on 12/15/34. The first drawing, noted as 28 in the lower right, has a combined image area of 3.75" x 5". Written next to the fallen horse is the notation "Horse OK" and next to that, written in a different hand, is "(That's what you think!)" as a joke; the matching image onscreen occurs at the 4:31 mark. The second drawing, coming in a second later, has an image size of 3.5" x 4.25", with 42 written in the lower right. Both drawings are in graphite and green pencil. Condition is Very Good, with minor handling wear and light paper toning.
