Description
The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show Rock and Bullwinkle with Boris and Natasha Scene Cel (Jay Ward, c. 1980s). "Look, dollink, is Moose and Squirrel!" Natasha's evil partner Boris Badenov lights the bomb fuse to send unsuspecting Bullwinkle and Rocky airborne, in this incredible custom-order hand-inked, hand-painted scene cel. With almost all original 1960s production cels from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show long ago discarded, creator Jay Ward had scene cels created to meet the demand of fans and collectors. Mr. Ward sold them at his Dudley Do-Right Emporium on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood from 1971 until it closed in 2005. Jay would sign cels when requested (if he was in the building at the time), but we believe this to be a custom request; most Bullwinkle scene cels were painted in either brown and orange or red and orange, while he appears all brown here. The hand-signed 12 field cel has an approximate combined image size of 8.75" x 6.75", and is in Very Good to Fine condition with light handling and edge wear.More information about Jay Ward Studios.
