Rabbit's Feat Wile E. Coyote RARE Original Layout Drawing by OSCAR®-Winning Director Chuck Jones (Warner Brothers, 1960). This is an original production layout from the hand of legendary animator Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002). The drawing is from the Jones-directed short Rabbit's Feat which originally aired on June 4, 1960. In the short Bugs is pursued by Wile E. Coyote, who fancies himself as a "genius" who can easily capture Bugs for dinner. Bugs is able to easily foil the Coyote's plans, finally blowing him up with a hand grenade that the Coyote had tried to use on him. In the end, a dazed Coyote emerges from the rabbit hole saying "How do you do? I am a vegetarian. My name is Mud. Is there a doctor in the house?" Known for his elaborate plans and absurdly complex gadgets, the coyote is a Chuck Jones creation who debuted with his frequent adversary, Road Runner, in Jones' 1949 short Fast and Furry-ous. The legendary writer/director/animator picked up an OSCAR® in 1996, a Primetime Emmy in 1980, a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 1995, a Winsor McCay Award in 1974 and too many film festival awards to mention here. This amazing original Chuck Jones layout was illustrated using graphite on 16 field animation paper. The Coyote stands full body at 7.5" - Jones sketched Bug's face in the bottom right. The layout is framed to 22" x 18" with a 13" x 9" aperture. This exceedingly RARE original is presented in Very Good condition. All frames are sold as-is.
