A Family Circus Christmas Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background Signed by Bill Keane (Cullen-Kasdan, 1979). 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house-" This is a fantastic original production cel setup featuring Dolly from A Family Circus Christmas. A rare find, a hand-painted 12 field production cel presented on their original Key Master background rendered in gouache on board. This picturesque setup bears the rare signature of The Family Circus creator Bil Keane (1922 - 2011). Keane was a four-time recipient of the National Cartoonists Society's Award for Best Syndicated Panel, winning in 1967, 1971, 1973 and 1974. He was honored with the Silver T-Square Award from the National Cartoonist Society in 2002 for "outstanding dedication" to the Society and the cartooning profession. A terrific piece of signed production art from a legendary comic strip and cartoon maker. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
