Donald's Golf Game Donald's Nephew Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1938). Huey, Dewey, and Louie are up to their old tricks! One of them prepares to torment Donald with another hilarious prank in the production cel Courvoisier setup here from Donald's Golf Game. The Jack King-directed short was released on 11/4/1938 and followed Donald and his nephews as they played a fun-filled game of golf, though it turned out to be much more fun for the nephews after they gave Donald trick clubs, golf balls, and floaties while their uncle screamed and kicked his way across the course. The nephew in this cel is enormous and has been meticulously trimmed to figure and mounted to a beautifully hand-painted gouache and airbrush Courvoisier custom background, a protective cel layer covering him. He appears at about 3:47 in the short as he lets his brother stick a grasshopper inside the hollow back, both of them ready to have a good laugh, and is centered on the 9'' x 10'' board at about 4.75'' x 6.5''. Fair to Good condition with some lifting to the protective cel and character, light handling and edge wear, and faint residue.Auction Info
