Description
Donald's Golf Game Donald Duck Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1938). From the short Donald's Golf Game, we present in this lot a stupendous hand-painted and hand-inked production cel featuring our protagonist getting clothespins out of his golf hat. Released on November 4, 1938, this Jack King-directed short featured our favorite animated ill-tempered duck going out for a game of golf with his nephews. This 3.25" x 3.25" image of Donald can be spotted at the 1:41 mark, just as he picks some clothespins to secure the beaks of his nephews to prevent them from making noise while he prepares his swing. The lot is offered on a Plexiglas fronted 14.5" x 15.25" frame with a 4.5" x 5" mat opening. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The cel is trimmed and shows light waviness. Minor paint separation can be seen on Donald's face and neck. With mild handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
