The Great Mouse Detective Ratigan Signed Original Art Created for Vincent Price and "The World's Greatest Criminal" Animation Drawing by Glen Keane (Walt Disney, 1986). This lot is so good, it's criminal! Professor Ratigan looks downright devious in this spectacular 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing from "The World's Greatest Criminal" segment and one-of-a-kind original art created for the late Vincent Price (1911 - 1993), who voiced this criminal mastermind. Both outstanding pieces were created by Disney Legend Glen Keane, Ratigan's designer and supervising animator. Price's expressive voice and dramatic performances helped to inspire Ratigan's design, so it's no wonder that the full figure artist marker concept of Ratigan is inscribed and signed by Keane with 'To Vincent - thank you for your inspirational readings!'. To make things even better, this lot comes with an enormous graphite animation drawing from Ratigan's villain song, found at about 16:15. The original art measures about 8.5'' x 11'' on 9'' x 11.75'' while the animation drawing is noted as 27 and measures roughly 9.75'' x 8.5''. This rare gem is in Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, pinholes, and faint superficial wrinkling.Auction Info
