Description
101 Dalmatians Three Puppies Art Corner Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1961). As Thunderbolt fights the culprit and prepares to take him down in The Thunderbolt Adventure Hour in Disney's 101 Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita's pups bark up a storm to cheer him on. Three of those pups are the focus of this Art Corner production cel, hand-painted and displayed on a print background from Sleeping Beauty for presentation purposes. The cel was originally sold at the Art Corner store in Tomorrowland, a store to purchase production art and cels that was only open from 1955 to 1966, and was created for around 24:58 in the film when the pups lean over the chair arm in anticipation and watch their German Shephard hero do what he does best. While the in-universe television series only made a brief appearance in the original 1961 film, the sequel greatly expanded on it and centered around Thunderbolt, his popularity, and his relationship to the puppies. The adorable pups measure approximately 7.5'' x 3.75'' and are displayed in a 14'' x 12'' mat with the original golden Art Corner sticker on the reverse.
