Description
Disney/Famous Studios and Others Animation Model Sheet Prints and Art Group of 36 (Various Studios, c. 1940s-50s). A superb group of studio model sheets for Disney (six pieces, featuring two of Mickey Mouse plus Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto), Fleischer (eight, including one page of villains from the 1942 Superman short Destruction Inc.); one from Walter Lantz Studios; one Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny model sheet, circa 1940s; one Piel Beer model sheet of Harry and Bert, dated 1959; and nineteen from Famous Studios/Harveytoons. This last batch includes four from Baby Huey shorts, two featuring Katnip, and one with Katnip and Herman (as Robin Hood); two from the 1958 short Grateful Gus, including one of Gus and one of the Bank Clerk; two with human characters from unknown shorts, and eight of various anima characters, with one duplication. One of the Famous Studios pieces is an original 14.5" x 12.75" model sheet of the giant from the Popeye cartoon Ration for the Duration (1943, black and white); this is the only original art in the group, and it's tightly rendered in graphite. Of the printed model sheets, several are noted with animator/director Dave Tendlar's name. Condition is Good to Very Good.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
