Description
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Snow White, Happy, Bashful, and Sleepy Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "Oh, my heavens! It's past bedtime. Go right upstairs to bed," says Snow White to the dwarfs as she coaxes them "off to bed" in this original production drawing. This drawing is a tie-down. Tie-down drawings aka clean-up drawings are part of the workflow in the production of hand-drawn animation. Tie-downs are generally done on a new sheet of paper. However, they can be done on the same sheet as the rough animation if the rough was done with a "non-copy " pencil usually red or blue as this one was. Rendered in graphite with red pencil on 12 field animation paper and noted as number 141 in the lower right. Age-related toning and edge wear. Otherwise, condition is Very Good.Auction Info
