Description

Alice in Wonderland Alice Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1951). "Open your mouth a little wider. And always say, 'Yes, Your Majesty'". The Queen of Hearts takes a liking to Alice right away and decides to teach her proper manners in Wonderland, including how to curtsy and speak to Her Royal Majesty. This outstanding full-figure 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing is silly enough to put a grin on your face, Alice miming the Queen's actions and following her instructions as best she can. You can find Alice during their little etiquette lesson at about 1:02:01 in Disney's 1951 animated masterpiece Alice in Wonderland, shortly before the Queen of Hearts ropes Alice into a rigged game of croquet. Alice is rendered in graphite at about 4.75'' x 5.25'' on the page and is noted 86 in the lower right corner. With only light edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning, this hard-to-find animation drawing is in Very Good condition.
