Description
Soreike! Anpanman Anpanman Production Cel with Master Background (Tokyo Movie Shinsha, c. 1988-2000). A Japanese favorite, Anpanman is mostly recognized worldwide for being the inspiration behind One Punch Man, and BTS' song "Anpanman". The friendly superhero was created as a picture book by Takashi Yanase (1919 - 2013) and then adapted into the anime series Soreike! Anpanman. This fantastic production cel features a sensational image of a flying Anpanman measuring 10" x 6.25" on the hand-painted 12 field size production cel, numbered A3 in the top right corner. The image of the character is presented on a blue-sky Master background, rendered in gouache on background board. The background has some slight crumpling along the bottom right corner of the board, and the cel and background show very light handling wear from production use.
