Description

Cinderella Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1950). "Oh well. What's a royal ball?" The iconic titular Disney Princess from the beloved animated feature Cinderella has had her hopes for the ball dashed in this lovely 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing. Rendered in graphite with color pencil and nicely centered on the page, the drawing was created for about the 39:40 mark of the film, after Cinderella bids her stepmother and stepsisters goodnight. Unable to finish her dress in time, she stares at the castle from her bedroom window and does her best to convince herself that the ball would be a boring waste of time, though she can't quite manage. The animation drawing is numbered 75 in the lower right corner, and the scene was supervised by Disney Legend and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Eric Larson (1905 - 1988). Measuring about 3.5'' x 4.75'' on the 16 field animation paper, the drawing from the memorable scene is in Very Good condition with only light edge and handling wear, and faint age-related toning.
