Description

Make Mine Music "Peter and the Wolf" Storyboard Prints Display Board with 18 Prints (Walt Disney, 1946). Walt Disney adapted Sergei Prokofiev's classic fairy tale with music "Peter and the Wolf" as a segment in the animated anthology feature film Make Mine Music; it was reissued a year later as a stand-alone short. Animated cartoons begin as story ideas that are sketched out, with the drawings tacked onto a large board and reviewed by the writers and the director. Here is such a board, a large sheet of black board measuring approximately 28.5" x 58.5" that includes 18 photo prints of original storyboards of Peter marching around with his toy rifle, as drawn by animation legend Frank Tashlin. Each print measures 8.5" x 7" with an image area of 7" x 5.25". Below the storyboard prints, the black board has a title print with the date September 14, 1955 (we're not sure why) and lists some credits, including director Clyde Geronimi and writers Eric Gurney and Dick Huemer. The prints have tack holes, and the photo paper is wavy along some of the edges, but the images are mostly unaffected. The overall condition is Good to Very Good with handling wear.
